Bach’s Festival Cantatas from Leipzig
To perform a selection of Bach’s Cantatas EUBO will be joined by eight young singers from the Barock Vokal project of the University of Mainz (DE). Baroque oboe virtuoso Alfredo Bernardini, himself a member of EUBO in the year of its foundation 1985, will direct today’s EUBO musicians, and their counterparts from the singing world, in a concert programme revealing Bach’s genius in conveying emotion through music and his ability to contrast the harmonies and sonorities in vocal music. This promises to be a programme of exquisite and inspired music-making.
NB. this concert will be preceded by a pre-concert introduction in Dutch, by Koen Uvin, starting at 20:15.
